Motel 6 Petaluma, CA

Good value, nicely remodeled. Comfortable but, as you would expect, minimalist. Don't look for shampoo and conditioner, an ice bucket larger than a tea cup, or, unfortunately, an acceptably clean floor and bathtub. Bed was crisp and clean and TV had enough channels. Room was nice, nicer than I expected for the price. It would have far exceeded my expectations if housekeeping had either cleaned it well before I checked in (let alone put a sticker or something across the door lock or something to give me confidence checking in during a pandemic. Something saying that its been sanitized or even cleaned for example. Even with that, I'd stay there again. Polite front desk.

I needed a place to stay in between apartments that I was renting and ended up choosing the Petaluma motel 6 to stay for the week. I could not be happier with the choice I made. And It's not just that the room was clean, and the soda machine was stocked, and the pool was open for anyone brave enough to tough out the colder weather, which come to think of it, one little girl actually was, so good for her... it was truly the staff that made the stay as memorable as it was for me. And it's an all star cast if there ever was one... Everyone from Nick at the front desk whom has an attention to detail and smile for anyone who passes by that is second to none, to the maintenance man named Sydney who went out of his way to make sure my young son had everything he needed to be comfortable during his stay including hauling a microwave up a flight of stairs and halfway around a building just to ensure we had hot food and milk, to the crew of cleaning ladies who are the most polite and efficient that I've ever seen even in comparison to some of the high end hotels I've had the opportunity to stay with; every part of the team makes you feel welcomed, thought of, and well cared for to the point where I know I won't just find any and every opportunity to book a night again in the future, I will go out of my way to simply drop by to say hello. That's the personal touch that I never realized before could be a part of spending the night or even a week using a motel as your accommodations. Their above and beyond service is more than worth the cost of the room alone and I will most certainly be coming back... hopefully very soon!

Stayed on 10/24. Front desk was manned by a very helpful young man in the evening for check in. He had a difficult/obnoxious customer before me but he did his best to help the lady. I was actually getting ready to say something to her as she made me wait an extra 15 minutes over silly stuff. Once he got rid of her, things were great. Room floor wasn't the cleanest, but this was during record rains in the Bay area, so I understood. Pretty quiet and a non-sketchy location next to a lot of food options and shopping. I'd stay here again. Lots of pet area and pretty well kept up grounds too.

Our stay at motel 6 was very pleasant. The rooms were very basic in nature and we did get a kick out of the fact that you can't sit on the toilet and open or close the bathroom door. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. They had plenty of places for our dogs to relieve themselves too.

Clean room. Good area (not sketchy, like some are in.) Pet friendly and nice little “doggy doo” area with bags. Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. Grounds very well kept up. We had room 132, and it was very quiet and away from the street. Yes, we can hear people walking above us, but it’s not bad. Floors are laminate, so nice and clean. We’ll be staying here again on our next time through.

We were mistakenly assigned a more expensive room but Motel 6 honored the price established at the time of booking, for which we had an email confirmation (always keep your confirmation). Room was clean and comfortable. Very minimalistic (no hair dryer, shampoo, coffee maker) so be prepared. We would stay there again.

It was a nice place to stay in, but my first night I got woken up to what sounding like pounding on my door, but no one was there when I looked out the window. My mattress also slid down, so I couldn't really lean against the head board to watch the tv if I wanted to, but that isn't really a big deal. Otherwise, it was in a good location to some shopping, a park or two, and some nice food spots!

The front desk staff was accommodating. We booked online and it was easy to use. The shower was clean but it definitely showed it’s age and would benefit from an upgrade. The room was very small for the price we paid but we literally had an event to go to and needed a place to sleep as we didn’t see driving 3 hours home as pleasant other. I will say the small corner couch was an interesting touch. I would still recommend someone to this location due to its ease of access to the freeway
